I just received a text message that says: "Dear Taxpayer, your refund of £480.12 has been approved. Please verify your bank details immediately to receive the credit: https://incometax-refund-claim.xyz". When I click it, the site looks identical to the official government portal, including the logo and the 'Secure Login' button. However, it's asking for my full card number, CVV, and my ATM PIN. This feels like a total scam. The official site is usually .gov, not .xyz. Has anyone else received this? Be careful!

This is 100% a phishing scam. I checked the domain incometax-refund-claim.xyz on a WHOIS database, and it was registered just 3 hours ago in a different country. Government agencies never use .xyz domains for financial transactions. Do not enter any data!
